Established in 2009, XLRator is a social enterprise with a goal to build a thriving tech ecosystem in Fraser Valley. XLRator is a coalition of tech companies, entrepreneurs, local government, industry partners, and educational institutions focused on attracting tech-based investment into the Fraser Valley, including the District of Mission, Cities of Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Maple Ridge and the Township of Langley.
Building & Growing the Tech Sector in the Fraser Valley
XLRator is committed to the technology-led economic and educational development of the region. Recognized as a desired tech sector with tremendous growth potential, this concept is strongly supported by several local organizations including Community Futures Development Corporation, the Chilliwack Economic Partners Corporation, Stó:lō Nation, the University of the Fraser Valley, as well as key local Provincial MLA’s and Municipal Council representatives of the regional municipalities.
Regional Chapters
XLRator is the best-known tech hub in Fraser Valley. Our members have access to exclusive events, resources, programs, and services they need to grow their business in Fraser Valley. Our member companies include some of the most successful and well-recognized tech companies in the world and many new, energetic startups that chose to stay and thrive in Fraser Valley.
We also have chapters in other cities including an active tech community in Chilliwack. An official chapter of XLRator, The Chilliwack.Tech community group is an official chapter of XLRator and exists to help set and maintain the beat of the local tech startup community. The group facilitates inter-organization collaboration and can act as the first point of contact feeding people into larger programs at UFV, XLRator, ACETECH, etc. We are part of the Chilliwack Innovation Network, in partnership with I&E@UFV, Community Futures South Fraser, and Chilliwack Economic Partners.
XLRator is also working with its partner to establish a chapter in Tri-Cities to serve the tech and startup community in the cities.
